We are Heading for Hope in 2021!
Heading for Hope is a Virtual 5k and Fun Run benefiting Handspun Hope. All proceeds will go towards building the second floor of our counseling center in Rwanda. Many Handspun Hope employees have experienced some form of trauma as a result of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, and this building will allow for the continued provision of critical counseling serivces.
To maintain safety for all, we've gone with a virtual platform that allows for participation from the safety of our homes or neighborhoods anywhere in the world. And with a one week window to complete your 5k, you can fit it into your schedule whenever and wherever it works best!
Registration is $30 per runner. Your fee includes a donation towards the counseling center, a t-shirt for you AND covers the cost of a t-shirt for a staff member in Rwanda. Talk about a win-win! Runner shirts will be mailed. Please sign up by Friday, February 5th to receive your shirt before the kickoff date, February 13th.

There's a few ways to win:
1) The top two male AND top two female times will win a gift card to shop the Handspun Hope Artisan Collective! In order to qualify for the gift card you must download the Its Your Race Virtual App to your phone, select our race and track your run. After completing registration, you may choose a date to run your race between February 13th - 27th. Once you begin tracking your race, you will only be able to pause the app for a limited amount of time (i.e. for a restroom break). Please be prepared to complete your race at that time.
1st place - $50 gift card
2nd place - $25 gift card
OR
2) For those that will be joining for fun and do not want to track their 5k time, you are not required to download the app - just get out there and have fun! We're raffling off TWO $25 gift cards to the Hope Artisan Collective and you still have the chance to win!
Your race registration automatically gets you one raffle entry. For more entries (and more chances to win!) share about your 5k on social media! Post on your Facebook or Instagram, tag us (@handspunhope), tag one friend, and use the hashtags: #HeadingForHope5k, #hellohope and #runwithrwanda! Each social media post = 1 raffle entry.
